Allow to create sub tasks

Would love to see this, particularly for splitting or dividing tasks between assignees. Right now it would require creating another task column (creating clutter), and often times there are cases where the split task may be a one-off. For example, if two animators are animating a character respectively within the same scene- they should have their own status and schedule management instead of being inside of a singular task.

Philip Franjo, Something we noticed is that 99% of the time, subtasks are required for assets cast in the shot. Should we do something around this idea?

Frank Rousseau It's definitely a tough thing to implement smoothly with the current column infrastructure- my first idea would be to have it be a comment function ("split task") in which sub-tasks can be defined within the context of a comment, with individual fields for assignee and status (and maybe start/end date?). The assignees here would add to the assignees list of the actual task, with the fields of their sub-task appearing in their My Tasks list. This way the task can maintain a singular column, but in the comments/info page sub-tasks are revealed. The sub-tasks in my mind don't need to be their own entity- just a way to track multi-assignee taskss with more structure.
As you said, it could also be asset-correlated, but this limits functionality when the sub-tasks are not asset-correlated- in our case (2D animation) it could happen more often than not (for example, an animator takes a character from frame 1 to 123, and the second animator is handling frame 124 - 201)

What's the difference between this and adding checkboxes? Not sure if we need sections with to make subtasks visible. Hard to image for me
