collapsible scene list

Pete Draper
am not sure if I've requested this before, but the ability to collapse / expand scene lists would be useful. Opening the shots list on a film with 700 shots takes a while to load and scrolling through to find the right one is time consuming. I know you can use the filter, but having things at-a-glance without having to search would be a real time-saver.
By default when you loaded the page it would list all scenes which you can then expand one by one as so desired or collapse. It would also make the page a lot more responsive when loading and reduce load on the server.
Thanks
Pete

Req: Expand / contract scenes
P
Pete Draper
Please have the ability to expand and contract scenes, with the media being loaded after expansion, default is contracted so pages load faster. On lower spec systems, Chrome can hang due to the amount of media and page sizes with the large number of shots in a film. Say, if a feature had 1000 shots, loading the shots page would be nigh-impossible, even on a decent system...

Sorry Pete Draper for the long answer delay. This changes would require too much work because all the data are required to ensure fast filters and statistics computation.
From our experience, collapsible UIs are not that handy and create headaches to be properly displayed. So, we won't work on it now. We have a lot to achieve before getting back to that problem.

Thank you Pete Draper for the suggestion. Do you know that filters can be saved?
P
Pete Draper
Frank Rousseau: yes, however when loading the page it’s taking a while due to the sheer amount, even with just the initial load. Sometimes users can’t find shots due to incorrect searches and it adds a little confusion.. after surveying the guys here, a collapsible / expandable scene list would help a lot
Frank Rousseau
Pete Draper: Ok. What do you mean by sometimes users can’t find shots due to incorrect searches?
How many shots do you have in your production?
P
Pete Draper
Frank Rousseau: the last one was 740. Can go over 1500. The issue is the naming convention by the editorial dept. Sometimes they incorrectly label a scene which results in mismatched search results when we type in the shot or scene we’re looking for and have to dive into the newsfeed to find it.

PS same for assets.
