Add artist friendly todo board ( kanban / trello like )
complete
Chris Unterberg
The big 'todo' list sometimes grows superlarge and stressful when all status are shown. Kanban boards like trello help breaking these tasks down visually and decrease artist stress by sorting stuff into achievable lists.
Lists should be connected to status ( maybe set by the studio admin? )
Examples:
- new ( not yet open )
- todo ( status that is planned / retakes )
- wip ( wip )
- done ( WFA, under review, done )

Hello Chris Unterberg,
Thank you for your suggestion. We will study that but to be honest, in many cases the Kanban doesn't help artists. It doesn't deal well with many tasks (hard to find the information) while the list is simple and can be filtered. Moreover, it's easier to read data in a list than on cards. Adapting the Kanban to the studio workflow may be tedious too.
That said, the Kanban may be interesting when the week filter is on and as you said gives a better feeling of progress.
NB: We don't want to mimic Ftrack, we don't share the same design philosophy.

Frank Rousseau: I would like to add two cents here. 1. Kanban is more appropriate for the lead staff (e.g. supervisor, managers and etc.) and not artists 2. Kanban can be managed with a lot of tasks if it has filtering support. I have experience with amoCRM which has Kanban and Table support and even with lot of records most managers prefer Kanban view with search filters that amoCRM provides.
